Foreign Language Area Studies fellowship provides for graduate students to study underrepresented foreign languages. Yep I got me one! And the bonus:
"The estimated subsistence allowance for an academic year 2010-2011 fellowship is $15,000 for a graduate student"
So I will make more money and have more time for my own studies!!!!

Congratulations!!!! Great news. (I'd post that in Kaqchikel, but alas--google translator is NO help whatsoever). In all seriousness, that is nice chunk of change for a doctoral fellowship.

ReplyDeleteIt doesn't seem real yet. I have 4 more hours of teaching (no that doesn't include grading) for the next year!
And, it is on-going academic capital on the CV, long after the $ is gone. Good job!!
