Dissertation Distractions
Message from 3 out West (2 of whom can only answer as anonymous, and your settings don't allow that)--"it might get easier, but not if you end up with colleagues who stomp their feet like 5 year olds and yell "wah, wah" if everyone doesn't think they are the most swell professor in the Department. Yep--we are having FUN again:)
ReplyDeletewhat is happening? these moments are part of the process. for some like us out here the process never comes to an end. we have to deal with out colleagues' immaturity. will keep you posted.

ReplyDeleteBetween teaching for a grandfatherly professor (the most recent thing we read was published in the 1970s), taking a theory class full of academically unrigourous students (TAC you know who theses are), learning a foreign language, and the department going through an external review, it is just all too much!
